The Montpellier Airport is located in the town of Mauguio about 5 miles/9 kilometers southeast of Montpellier in the Herault (34) department of France. The airport is off the A9 Autoroute (Motorway) between Montpellier and the sea. The exit is Junction 29 - Montpellier-Est. The airport is well sign posted from the Motorway; just follow the signs Aeroport Montpellier Mediterranee.
Once you exit the motorway its about a five minute drive to the airport. This map will give you an idea as to the location of the Montpellier Airport.
There is a shuttle that runs between and airport and Montpellier. The cost is 4.90 for a single or for 5.40 your ticket will include a tram ride. You can also buy 10 tickets at a discount.
The shuttle takes about 15 minutes to reach Montpellier and will drop you off at the Place de l'Europe, a stop on the Montpellier tram lines 1 and 2. The shuttle runs seven days and week and leaves about one per hour depending on the time of day. Generally speaking the shuttle runs in sync with arriving and departing flights.
There is a taxi rank just in front of the airport that should have taxis waiting after scheduled flights. If not you can ask that one be called at the information booth or call 04 67 20 65 29.
